Following his passion to mentor the next generation of filmmakers to good story, well told, Nickolas Gilbert often works as a teacher and mentor to emerging talent worldwide. He was instrumental in developing and teaching the curriculum for the Film & Digital Content BFA program at the Studio School in Los Angeles (where he served as the first Program Director) and has taught workshops in everything from to DaVinci Resolve to Advanced Directing to iPhone Filmmaking. In addition to teaching in the states, he has taught numerous workshops abroad, including at the Curaçao Film Institute in the Dutch Antilles and in Perth, Australia. He is also active in helping nonprofits and small businesses set up their inhouse media production departments.
